Guide

Build your first custom racing HUD with the Horizon Labs Designer

From template to overlay in five steps: pick a HUD in the store, edit it, preview live telemetry, bind layers to telemetry fields and send it to Horizon Labs.

The Horizon Labs Designer is included with Horizon Labs. You never start from a blank page.

The example store: a HUD per game to start from.

Steps

  1. Store: pick one of the 104 ready-made HUDs, filtered by game.
  2. Edit: change any shape, text, image or font. Import your own PNG, SVG or TTF/OTF/WOFF files.
  3. Preview: drive one of seven simulated scenes, or switch to the live telemetry of the game you are playing.
  4. Bind: link any layer to one of 80 telemetry fields. Map ranges, write expressions, switch on conditions. Fields your game does not send are flagged.
  5. Send: one click drops the HUD into the running Horizon Labs overlay. Save the .hud file to keep working later.
